Stunning scenery

Had breakfast then set off on the final leg of our journey to Nordkapp, the North Cape.The scenery is, as ever spectacular. Saw our first reindeer herd today, stopped to take pictures. Some are pure white in their winter coats. Arrived at Nordkapp at 19.15hrs. A toll of 145 kroner per person is payable on entry to the Cape. Latitude is 71° 10’ 21” north. In reality it is not the northernmost point. That honour goes to Knivskjelodden at 71° 10’ 8”. The weather has changed dramatically. Lashing rain and gale force winds with visibility down to zero almost. We cannot even see the water 307 metres below us. Walking to the view point was a real struggle in the wind. We will stay here overnight and hope that the weather and visibility is better tomorrow.
