Snowing today and very cold, both in the camper and outside. After chipping the ice off my feet I put on my boots and with the determination of Scott set forth into Vienna, without huskies or sled. I hoped the shops were open as I had no rations with me. By the grace of God I made it and dashed into the first coffee shop I encountered for hot refreshment. Spirits restored and body rejuvenated I explored the town. Seriously though, the Austrians, like the Germans are very efficient and had cleared the snow not just from the roads but the pavements too. It is a nice city, a genteel place populated by relaxed people. Very nice architecture, combining the old and the new. I don't think it's as nice as Prague but very few places are.
